Development Of Hydraulic Transmission

Since Britain made the world's first hydraulic press at the end of the 18th century, hydraulic transmission technology has a history of two to three hundred years. However, it was not until the 30s of the 20th century that it was really popularized.

In 1650, Pascal proposed the principle of static pressure transmission, in 1850, the British applied Pascal's principle successively to hydraulic cranes and presses, and in 1795, Joseph Brahman in London used water as a working medium to apply it in industry in the form of a hydraulic press, giving birth to the world's first hydraulic press; In 1905, the working medium was changed from water to oil, which further improved the hydraulic transmission effect. During World War II, hydraulic transmission and control devices with high power, fast response and accurate action were used in some weapons, which greatly improved the performance of weapons and greatly promoted the development of hydraulic technology. After the war, hydraulic technology quickly turned to civilian use, and with the continuous formulation and improvement of various standards, the standardization, standardization and serialization of various components were promoted in machinery manufacturing, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, automobile manufacturing and other industries. After the 60s of the 20th century, the development of atomic energy technology, space technology, computer technology, microelectronics technology, etc. once again pushed hydraulic technology forward, so that it has been applied in all aspects of the national economy, and has become one of the indispensable and important means to realize the automation of the production process and improve labor productivity.

China's hydraulic industry began in the 50s of the 20th century, and its products were initially only used in machine tools and forging equipment, and later in tractors and construction machinery. Since the introduction of some hydraulic components production technology from abroad in 1964 and the design of hydraulic products by itself, China's hydraulic parts have been widely used in various mechanical equipment. Since the 80s of the 20th century, the planned introduction, digestion, absorption and localization of advanced hydraulic products and technologies have been accelerated to ensure that China's hydraulic technology can catch up with the world level in terms of product quality, economic benefits, research and development.
At present, hydraulic technology has made significant progress in realizing high pressure, high speed, high power, high efficiency, low noise, durability, high integration and other requirements, and there are many new achievements in improving proportional control, servo control, digital control and other technologies. In addition, significant advantages are increasingly evident in the computer-aided design of hydraulic components and hydraulic systems, computer simulation and optimization, and development work such as microcomputer control.
